Individual student Entry

This category is open only to students studying at a University or other relevant educational institution. One winner, as determined by the judging panel at the judging event, will win:

Individual professional entry

This category is open to professional or non student entrants. One winner, as determined by the judging panel at the jJudging event, will win:

Each major prize includes:

  • Return economy class airfares for 1 from nearest Capital city (in Australia, China or Japan) to Paris

Team Entry
AUD$5000 cash grant towards your studies or business endeavours

One winning team entry as determined by the judging panel at the judging event, will win AUD$5,000 cash. The cash prize will shared equally between the team entrants.

INDUSTRY AWARD:
TAILORED MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The tailored mentorship program will be provided to the winner(s) based on their career or study objectives. For individual entrants this could include a 3-month mentorship program or an internship with one of the judges. For team entrants this could include a one month mentorship program or an internship with one of the judges.

Shortlist Entries

Ten shortlisted entries will receive a trip to the judging event and winners’ reveal celebration held in the the beautiful Macadamia growing region and favourite Australian destination Byron Bay. From groups, a maximum of two entrants will be invited to travel to the shortlisting event with the following prize inclusions:

  • Return flights from finalists nearest capital cities to Byron Bay
  • Two night’s accommodation at the luxurious Elements of Byron Bay
  • Private transfers to accommodation and the events
  • Attendance at a prestigious winners event

The ten shortlisted entrants will be made up of a minimum of 3 individual student entries, 3 individual professional entries and 3 team entries (student or professional) across the Western and Asian flavour profile. To progress in the competition you will be required to attend the judging event, which will be held in Byron Bay on the 3rd and 4th of April, 2019.

At the event, you will be required to prepare your creation and pitch your submission to the judging panel. The winners of the four major prizes will be announced at an awards ceremony with a once in a lifetime opportunity to mingle with some of Australia’s leading food innovators.
